ReSpek to rural communities
Do you ever stop to think about the impact your consumption has on the planet?
The truth is, our daily actions and purchases can have a devastating effect on the environment. Rising carbon emissions contribute to climate change, ocean acidification, and air pollution, among other issues. But what if there was a way to help counteract these negative impacts and give back to the environment, all while supporting impoverished communities?

But how can you get involved in this life-changing project? Respek Nature makes it easy for individuals to contribute to the reintroduction of Spekboom. With various donation plans available on their website, you can contribute to this project from as little as R15 per Spekboom. Each contributor receives their own certificate with the coordinates of the Spekboom they helped plant, accurate within one acre, allowing you to track and even find the Spekboom you have helped to plant.
Not only does your contribution help to restore the environment, but it also provides much-needed support to impoverished communities. Respek Nature has partnered with Jobs for Carbon, a Gouritz Cluster Biosphere Reserve project, to plant Spekboom in degraded areas in the Klein Karoo. Local people are employed to sustainably harvest Spekboom cuttings from the veld, propagate the cuttings in the Spekboom nursery until they become rooted, and then plant the rooted Spekboom in identified areas. The project brings positive change to both the local community and the environment and aims to heal a broken, dying landscape and a marginalized and isolated community.

So what are you waiting for? Visit Respek Nature's website today and find the donation plan that's right for you. With your help, we can make the world a better place for ourselves and for future generations.
